Leaving Gifts to Charity

A gift in your Will can make a lasting difference.
Questions to think about:
Which charities?
Will you leave a fixed amount, a percentage, or a specific item? Sometimes donors leave
land or money in trust, with the income going to the charity.
Is the gift for general use or a specific purpose?
Always use the charity’s registered name and number; and remember that you might like to
have a backup charity, in case the original one no longer exists by the time you die.
Charitable gifts can also reduce inheritance tax if they meet certain criteria.
Your Wills Team can ensure your charitable gifts are correctly worded and legally valid.
